Whether your religious or not this place should still be a part of your visit to Mexico City DF. It's truly part of the basic culture and roots of these people. The history and grounds are extremely interesting. The church is moving and is tracked by a pendulum sphere from the main rotunda

One of my favorite things to do on trips through Mexico is to visit the churches and cathedrals. This cathedral is the most spectacular I have experienced in México, and I have visited 22 of the 32 states. Admission is free, however donations of any amount are greatly appreciated (and well deserved in my opinion). You will be amazed by the architecture, design, art work, and the general ambiance. A must see de anyone visiting this part of the city.

Probably the most famous and beautiful site in the heart of Mexico City. It is a stunning piece of architecture to walk around and experience from the outside but entry is free and you must also experience it from the inside. There is a stunning atmosphere and a site that cannot be missed.

So quiet, clean, a nice church to visit and nice architecture. That you believe or not in God, visit it. If you go to Polanco, it's a must stop. Please remove your hats and if you talk whispers when you entering the building Be respectful for others.

Although it doesn’t have paintings all over it is a beautiful parish. The sound of the coro is magnificent. Worth to visit day or evening masses.

The parish church of San Juan Bautista is located at the edge of the Plaza Hidalgo in Coyoacán. It is a wonderful example of Mexican colonial baroque with richly decorated, colorful interior that's typical of Mexico City churches. The entry is free, but please be respectful as it is a working church and most people within are actually praying. What I found the most interesting about this church was the engineering. This church has no isles or columns inside, and the vault spans the entire width of the nave which is pretty unusual.

This Church looks a little deteriorated on the exterior, but once you set foot inside comes the wow factor 🤩 This place is stunning, the ceilings are full of paintings and the details are beautiful. Definitely would recommend visiting, and it’s located in the lovely and vibrant center of Coyoacan.

Semi modern church with little to no regards towards modern architecture, just a functional place ,nothing special at all, altho, at least it. Has a soundproof child pen to summon spirits quietly.

This is a second historical church located on pedestrian street Calle Francisco I. Madero, on the corner of Calle Isabel La Católica, with the entrance of Madero, the first one being the Franciscan Church and ex-convent to the west of Madero. The architectural style is somewhat different from the more ornate later baroque style; it is more austere and a bit more somber. The interior offers a lot to see and admire. The church was first founded by Jesuits but after they were banished from Mexico (they were expelled in 1767 from Spain, and thus from all Spanish overseas possessions, it belongs now to the Oratorians Order or Oratory of Saint Philip Neri.

A really nice piece of architecture that I stumbled across while exploring Mexico City. The stunning spire stands out from the modern buildings surrounding it. A pleasant spot to look at while walking down a road.

In the heart of Colonia Roma, the best and most eclectic neighborhoods in Mexico City. La Iglesia de la Sagrada familia its a must to visit to enjoy the wonderful architecture inside and out. Next door is the Museum of Padre Pro and a couple of steps further down is the best place to eat a traditional candy "La Celaya". #LoboCDMX
