I went to this restaurant twice during my stay in Chiangmai. There are local Thai dishes and the prices are reasonable. There will be a queue but they have a token system which is very helpful. The dishes were served very quickly after ordering. The portion of the food was big enough for two people to have a full stomach.

This is our last stop of our trip! Found this on Google Maps with good reviews, so here we are! The staff were very friendly, welcomed us and recommended us to sit indoors because of the hot weather. We found some dish with red ant eggs ingredient on the menu! I wish to give it a try but all of my friends are not interested at all, so it's a skip 😂 I can say the food is very very authentic north-Thai food, we can tastes it, it's nice though. Will recommend to my friends who are going to visit Nimman, Chiang Mai!

Local Northern Thai cuisine (note to foreign tourists: this place offers a unique menu which you may find in a typical Thai restaurant). Food is authentic, tasty and great value for money. We highly recommend stir fried sweet vegetable with eggs, puff mushroom with chili paste, northern style soup with local vegetables and dried fish. There is no aircon but it's breezy. The restaurant was busy when we went during weekday. They did not accept advanced booking, you can queue up at the restaurant.

Very good place with good food and good atmosphere. Vi ordered 2 main dish. When the came with it they one came with one and said the other was sold out. Then we ordered a new dish.Eating together means that things come at same time to the table. This they can do better.

Very nice chill nightspot here in chiangmai. Big area just next to the river. Live band and DJ at different timings throughout the night. Music by both live bands and DJ were great and really liven up the atmosphere. Enjoyed the vibes of the place. We ordered quite a number of dishes as per the photos I have uploaded. We had a taste of everything that we've ordered and we all agreed that the food was delicious. No misses at all. Staff here were all very friendly and service provided was good. They assisted with refilling of our glasses really efficiently. Will definitely return.

We found this bar through Google. After reading the great reviews, we decided to come to this bar/restaurant. We highly recommend giving it a try. They have great selections on their menu. The food is great. Excellent service from everyone. The Redsmurf band that played on Wednesday night was awesome. Thanks for a great night!

there are always a lot of people here, and you need to take a ticket with a waiting number and stand in line. there are seats outside and inside. The atmosphere inside is not very pleasant, since there is a kitchen there, and everyone is fussing around, there is a smell of cooking, and the renovation is not very fresh. Although the environment outside is simple, the plants and fresh air create a more pleasant mood. Keep in mind that many dishes are spicy, especially sausages. I came here 3 times, I like soup with meat. The service varies, sometimes the order is brought quickly, but sometimes you have to remind yourself. once they brought us a plate with a broken edge. Apparently no one is watching this, as well as the napkins and cutlery. If you close your eyes to the small details, then overall it’s delicious. bonus: sale of donuts at the exit of the restaurant, which taste simply wonderful. Unfortunately, they are only sold in sets of 4.

fast service, good khao soi. maybe waited 5 minutes on a saturday at lunchtime even though it looked very busy. chicken was flavorful, melt in your mouth and not dry. not too spicy. thai omelette was light and crispy but not super flavorful (probably because it was the veggie one); needs the sauce. meat inside the wontons was excellent.

We were craving for Kao Soy and we found this on Google Maps, never noticed this is a Michelin Restaurant until we reached there then only we knew. I think it's because of peak hour, the staff are all busy to approach us, so we kind of wait for some time for the table and also ordering. We ordered two different types of Kao Soy, the taste is okay but doesn't taste any spicy, we are not sure what the taste is supposed to be because this is our first time having Kao Soy 😄 Not to mention, the dessert can taste the ice from the icebox 😂 Again, we are not sure if that is 'normal' tastes? Overall it is okay, will try the other Kao Soy restaurant in future.

The place was amazing and awesome! We waited for table around 40 mins but the queue run so fast. Not too long for waiting for us. The foods came so fast as well and the taste was so great, its amazing. Totally recommend people to come try on it. But if you love spicy, you should let them know, for me it was medium spicy Staffs were so nice and friendly! Also foreigner friendly there

The 30min of waiting.. were totally worth it ! The tastes were just incredible. I would like also to mention the cheesecake (i am a huge fan of it) and it was stunning : perfect balance, not too much sugar and texture was great. We had the chance to try many of their main dishes and we were not dissapointed at all !

Very tasty local northern foods. This restaurant is very popular among Thai people. The location is near to Nimman taking 10 mins by driving or 20-30 mins by walking. It’s better to make the reservation before you come but the restaurant doesn’t accept the reservation on the long weekend and the high season period. You need to make a phone call and check with them before you come. Free carpark lots.

This restaurant was recommended by ChatGPT and it was a great recommendation. It’s a pretty big restaurant with both outdoor and indoor (air conditioned) dining, which feel like completely different restaurants. Outdoor dining feels like a standard food court with a traditional feel, with stools and small tables. Indoor has fancy tables, chairs with backs, and interesting art pieces. The food is great, I got curry chicken and a side platter, and the taste overall was excellent. The platter came with a weird sausage thing that felt and tasted raw, not terrible and maybe a common local dish but as a westerner it wasn’t my favourite. The rest of the food was delectable and the chicken in the curry was falling off the bones, it was so soft and tender.

Nothing special about the food but on the expensive side. I’ve tasted way better by a way cheaper price elsewhere. Service is quick and place is overly decorated by artworks. Quite humid as there is only one window & door upon the entrance/exit to ventilate a deep stretch of a restaurant. All these comments are all about my personal preferences/opinion. For sure, many other people will find this place interesting.

We were lucky enough to go with a local friend of ours for an amazing lunch. Food was fresh and delicious, service was spot on and for three people the table was full of scrumptious dishes. Highly recommend.

The thick coconut milk curry of Khao soi tantalizes the taste buds with its intensely spicy flavor, striking a perfect balance that avoids overwhelming heat. The dish offers a delightful sensory experience, with the creaminess of the coconut milk complementing the bold spices. However, the culinary journey encounters a slight setback as the crispy rice noodles, a potential textural delight, fall short of their expected crispiness. Despite this minor drawback, the overall combination of rich coconut curry and nuanced spiciness creates a memorable and satisfying dining experience.

My favorite original Khao Soi yellow curry noodle. The soup here is creamy and thick. Add a little chili oil to complete the recipe to deliciousness. The place also sells other famous northern cuisine dishes like sausages and Larb minced pork salad. Their satays are not bad. Good parking space at a temple nearby.

I'm a bit disappointed because this shop was on my bucket list to try their popular Khao Soi. It turned out to taste okay, not as flavorful compared to other less popular restaurants. The crispy noodle in Khao Soi wasn't crispy; it was chewy. Ensure your satays are cooked because four of mine were not cooked!

Descent meal and good value! We had stir fried veggies, stir fried veggie and pork, spring roll, papaya salad, coconut milk shake. The stir fired dishes were tasty but just not as flavorful as I was expecting? The coconut milk shake was the best! Service was good. Once and done on this one.

Absolutely the best Thai restaurant in town! Very cheap price With really good food, portion size and decoration! You won’t feel you are just eating whatever food in the street. 100% the best Thai restaurants I had this time in Chiang Mei! Definitely order the sweet! It is really delicious and big portion! Recommend mango sticky rice with coconut ice cream!!!

We arrived 10pm and wanted a vegetarian food. It’s not easy all the time. Here they were willing to replace fish or chicken to tofu. We ordered Pad Thai, Fried rice and a curry. Portions are small, little oily not spicy at all. Pad Thai was dry and clumpy. They immediately gave us some sauce, ground chilli on the side. I am always worried about washing and water quality for salads on the food. We got the coconut for water. Staff were cordial, price was very affordable, we were happy and all worked out well.

One of my favorite places to eat when I crave comfort food. There are many Thai foods to choose from like noodles and rice bowls. This place is quite clean and has a retro style decoration. Service is fast and convenient, they use an online menu to order food. The food here is delightful. Fleshly made and served on a hot plate, very delicious and flavorful. Recommended the Kua kai signature dish. The price is a bit pricey but overall a fair deal for the food you get.

I really like their salads because they are typical Thai spicy. Friendly staff and affordable prices. The restaurant space is nothing special, but sitting outside seems more airy.

I feel it has changed since the last time I tried. It’s not tasted as great as it was before. Just ok and service level not good. We need to order through QR code so no staffs service and not friendly. Lot of mosquitoes 🦟 and the size were big, but staff brought you the spray. Not a good experience this time and not sure if I worked come back.

Great food filled with delicious and exquisite flavour. I personally really liked the fusion dish of the tacos with Thai ingredients as it presented unique and delicious flavours. The Tom Yum soup was also nice and creamy which was unique as most other Tom Yum we tried had a more liquid texture.

Wow! The food her blew us away. Everything from starters to desert was delicious. The Micheline Guide award comes at a steeper price than street food for sure but if you’re willing to “splurge” this Thai fusion restaurant will not disappoint you. For a meal for 4, no alcohol, we paid around 3’600 bath.

Nice decoration, staffs are good, active and fast service. food for me is just ok, good & mild taste for foreigners not for Thais in my opinion. My Taiwanese friends want to try and we booked for a group, they said the taste is simply, not wow. I quite like beef soup, soft & tender. Very popular among foreigners because I have seen them alot (90% in the restaurant).

10/10!!!!! The chicken leg is probably the juiciest and tastiest chicken I've ever eaten. The Som tam Thai was tasty and had a slight citrussy taste to it. Go up to self service area to get the amazing sauce to go with the chicken as well as fresh herbs and salad.

OMG! Love this place. The solid wood furniture with great carvings and the deliciously grilled chicken at the front is just so attractive. The grilled chicken is so juicy, so soft and so tasty, we ordered seconds and thirds! Never imagined myself trying bib Gourmand fruit salad, but I have no regrets! Please remind them to make everything less spicy, because even as a chilli lover, it is spicy! The drinks are great too (smoothies and all). Just have the papaya salad and chicken! They are marvellous!

If you want to find a good place for Somtum in Chiangmai, this would be one of the choices. They offer variety of choices North Eastern food with grilled meat like chicken, cat fish or pork’s neck etc. Tasted not like real authentic E-sarn and not spicy. If you need extra spicy, I would recommend to add in the note as they make somtum on sweet based. Price so reasonable and friendly staffs. It’s self service on utensils, ice and drinks.
