This was my second visit to Chapultepec Castle. We walked over from our nearby hotel. It is a steep walk up towards the castle which can be challenging for some, so keep in mind to bring good shoes and might need to make some stops for children and elderly people. We payed 190 pesos which translates to $11.08 / €10.20. This place has a great view of some parts of the city, has a nice water fountain, and a lovely garden. You might also be intrigued with some of the rich history that is displayed. I loved how rustic and photogenic this location is; it’s great for individual and family pictures. It’s important to note that this place is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Enjoy your visit!

Worth visiting if it’s your first time in CDMX. This may be a tourist hot spot the place is well-maintained and orderly. The artworks are well-curated and organized such that the historical narrative is told well. Not all displays have English translations though. You may have to scan the QR code to do so. Lovely place overall. P.S. if you have large bags or food, pay for the locker at the ticket counter for 10 pesos. Lockers are by the entrance and are guarded well.

Try to avoid going on a Sunday as that day Mexicans can go in for free so the place gets a bit packed. The building is gorgeous and has some great views of the park and city. The collection is interesting but it's missing explanation on what you are looking at (both in Spanish and English). There are some amazing murals but again no explanation at all. The rooms do not seem to be in chronological order.

It is a self-guided tour, you begin by going down to see the foundation and they do have displays that show the history as well as some interesting facts. Once you're done with that, you go back up where they take your picture in front of a green screen (you see the pictures at the end of the tour). The next stop is taking the glass elevator to the mid level where you climb down some stairs to the 360° view (you walk around to view the city in all directions); they do have a cafe with chairs and tables where you can sit, relax and enjoy the views. There is a higher level to see better views of the city, but it requires going up a bunch of spiral narrow stairs cases, and some parts don't have much space, so if you're claustrophobic, just be prepared. Climbing up those stairs is pretty tiring, so if you're not in the greatest shape, just be prepared as well. Once you make it to the top, it's all worth it, awesome views.

Fuente de Cibeles. A beautiful little plaza in Mexico City surrounded by excellent restaurants, scenery and pubs. A great way to spend an afternoon or an evening. Fun fact: this fountain is an exact replica of the famous one in Madrid next to the old Communications Palace (now Madrid city hall) and was a gift from the Spanish people to the people of Mexico 🇲🇽 ❤️ 🇪🇦

Amazing square that is a effect and thrust worthy copy of the Cibeles fountain in Madrid. It had no water running since I believe Mexico City is going through a drought or water saving protocol in place, but still beautiful. A must see!

Place to learn about the troublesome history of Mexico city reaching from the initial settlement over territorial wars and religious influece until its modern state. Highly recommend to come with a guide to explain the history and events in detail.

This is the main square within the Tlatelolco neighbourhood of Mexico City. The name "Three Cultures" recognizes the three periods of Mexican history as shown by buildings in the square: pre-Columbian, Spanish colonial, and the independent nation. Interesting to note the contrast and merge of the different cultures

Very interesting place. Cost to enter: MX$ 80. And after you finish with the small museum and the nice archeological area, you’re greeted with the Church of the Santiago Apostle. It’s a hidden secret, in my opinion, right in the centre of Mexico City.

This is a wonderful historic place. If you come by car you can have a hard time trying to get a parking place. The best option is parking the car at the other side of Ssn Fernando avenue and walk 10 min. On the way you will appreciate beutiful colonial houses, monasteries and interesting museums such as the house of first viceroy De Mendoza.

Loved this perfect little park. The monument is a moving thank you to the people of México from Azerbaijan for assistance after a massacre of its people. Cool little colorful chapel looks very old. Wonderful colorful murals surround the park. Many children were playing in the area. Safe and charming area. Well maintained and spotless!

A thank you to the people of México from Azerbaijan for assistance after a massacre (by the Turks?). Cool little chapel looks very old, but the only date on it is an acrylic sign from the 1970s. Intriguing.

Sun drenched hidden plaza in the historic downtown of Mexico city, where the heart of Huitzilopochtli's brother fell after being torn off his chest and thrown into the distance after a fierce battle. Off the heart a nopal grew and that's where the ancient aztecs found an eagle devouring a snake, the foretold symbol of where to settle their mighty city. Fun fact, the eagle sculpture is placed so high up because the first one was stolen. The plaza itself has a few stores and a apparently good restaurant, but to me the highlight are the benches with painted tiles that depict the evolution of the national shield, said eagle eating a snake. If you want to visit try to get there early on Sunday, like I did and so I only saw a few guys smoking weed. If you go in weekdays it WILL be way crowded and probably unsafe with regards to mugging, the area is not heavily visited by tourists.

Great haunted house! Floor show in the bar is a lot of fun! Four different houses, including a seance. One of the houses was closed and the seance was just met. But the other two were chock full of monsters and scary surprises. Definitely worth a visit. Skip the VIP option as the seating is the worst for the floor show and band. Bar serves beer and a few liquors, no wine. Bathrooms are Porta potties in the dark. All in all, it was a blast though! Monsters are very interactive and all perform the stage show.

A very calm place without any tourists. The Great Basement is not very interesting itself, though it seems an oldest pyramid in vicinities. They have lovely park with some benches around, and some roads to hike through the site among nopales as well. The museum is tiny and not worth visiting. Founded some archeologist’s tomb, and something looked like a witch house. So this places holding some secrets, indeed.

One of the most ancient pyramid of Mexico, a real gem in south part of the Mexico City. The Cuicuilco is the only known rounded pyramid. It's surrounded by tropical trees and cactus plants. The small but very informative museum is worth to visit. Highly recommended!

This is only a place that locals know. Come here for a nice stroll and scenery. There is a free museum on site. I enjoyed my visit here in July 2019. Free entrance.
