We've ordered from Rajdarbar for delivery many times, and we were thrilled to visit the restaurant in person recently. The food is delicious, well presented, and the service was quick (as we went during non-peak hours). The staff is polite, and it seems like the manager or owner, who goes from table to table chatting with customers, adds a personal touch. This has become one of our favorite Indian restaurants in Chiang Mai. Parking can be a bit tricky, but we didn't mind parking a bit farther and walking over. Highly recommended!

Really good Indian food. Good portion size for decent price. Two medium portions with one rice and a naan split between two people is perfect. Great if you’ve the munchies and you want to get more like we did too…👀

The place is gorgeous with all the Indian decoration and ancient wooden doors. Food is delicious with I think almost everything homemade. Ingredients are high quality and meals are full of flavors. They welcome you with some Indian crackers and apéritive dressing. I tried their vindaloo and it was perfect. Usually it’s super spicy meal but they made it so everyone can eat it. Their naan… their naan are homemade with fresh ingredients: if you go and eat there, tasting their naan is a list. Delicious.

My favorite place for Indian food in town. Been coming here for over 4 years and the quality is consistently on point and there is a huge variety of dishes to choose from. I also love the assortment of chutneys that accompany all the dishes.

I don’t recommend this place. I rarely give negative reviews but I want to be true to allow people to find the best places in town. The place is nice, they generous in terms of quantities, and the lady serving was lovely, but the food was disappointing. They offered a soup for free, which was super nice, but it was way too salty. I live tandoori chicken and I’m used to eat it a lot. Here the paste used is too sour. It felt like vinegar/not natural. Knowing that there is an authentic, delicious Indian restaurant two streets away that will meet all your expectations, with outstanding decoration, fresh and high-quality products, I would recommend to pass on this one.

Excellent food and service with large portions and good prices. One of the chefs is from Kerala, and the food was very authentic. We ordered the lamb samosa, beef cutlet, cabbage poriyal, beef fry, and appam. Spice level was mild for us but you can request it to be more spicy if you prefer. The samosa and cutlet come with 3 pieces each and the appam is one per order. I don’t know how they make the food so quickly but it comes out quick, hot, and delicious! We definitely over-ordered for 2 people, but the prices were so reasonable and the food was so good and that we finished it all!

Chai n Thai at Nimman Chiang Mai offers a diverse menu catering to various preferences, including Indian vegetarian, vegan, and halal options. The Tandoori Chicken, Nan, and Lassi were particularly noteworthy, showcasing authentic flavors. The restaurant's commitment to serving a range of Indian cuisines adds to its appeal, making it a recommended spot for those seeking a taste of both South and North Indian specialties.

Really good food, accommodating service, and comfortable chairs at Grill of India. It’s common for Indian restaurants to have a vegetarian section, which I always appreciate, and this one goes further by very clearly marking which items are vegan. Kudos!

Decent Indian foods, Not many Indian restaurants in Chiang mai. This place is one of best reviews. Channa masala was lack of flavor and bit sweet to me. Chicken masala was ok . Vegetable curry was so so, lack of favor of Indian spices. I like Roti ( plain) but I don't find Roti that I taste in Malaysia and Canada.

The food I had was excellent. Non-veg thali: a divided tray with chicken masala, mixed veg curry, raita, cilantro chutney, some welcome slices of cucumber, one butter naan and one papad (fried lentil wafer) for B250. I also had hot Masala tea, B40. Food was delicious and quantity was generous, I was not able to finish the meal. As an American Midwesterner, I would say the spice level was moderate. As a solo traveler I like thali dinners, they are like a combo meal where you can try multiple flavors and items without overspending. Space is not wheelchair accessible. Street parking seemed crowded (I took a Grab). Very convenient to Saturday Night Wualai Walking Market, just a few blocks away. Also delivery via Grab.

I used to live just around the corner of this restaurant and used to come here often. Now that I am back in Chiang Mai I am so happy to see it still here running smoothly. The food here is absolutely wonderful. Clean. Cool. And very friendly owner. This is a must when you come to CM.

Not bad Indian restaurant, I love Indian food so maybe I’m a little bit too spicy to write sweet review. Rogan Josh the dish staff recommended us was very nice but Saag (spinach curry which I normally eat at Indian restaurants was a bit unique and I just couldn’t enjoy it.

One of the most and the best Indian restaurants in town without the doubt. Foods are just to die for and super yummy . We ordered too much that we couldn’t eat them all and we still wanted to order more and tries other dishes . Prices are very affordable and reasonable compared to the other Indian restaurants near by and the quality of foods and service is to high standards for sure . The owner if he is it busy will come out and personally greets you but don’t be disappointed if he doesn’t as he is the one who’s cooking for ya and is super busy . Great atmosphere. We will go back there again soon . Thanks guys 🙏

Very flavorful! Hands down my favorite Indian restaurant in Chiang Mai. The homey service made us feel super comfortable. We enjoyed every dish that was made and served for us. I was hoping that they had grilled chicken, but the lady informed me that all dishes are cooked to order and they do their best to deliver the food as fast as they can, which can't be done on grilled meats. The sweet lassi was sooo refreshing. I was happy!

The food here is pretty average. I would say that there are better places for Indian food. However. ... You can try once for yourself and see. Personally, i'm not too keen on going back as the price to quality ratio is not that favorable.

So grateful to have stumbled upon this welcoming and cosy restaurant. The best Indian food we've had in such a long time. The vegetable samosas are worth the visit alone (the tamarind sauce!). Every dish we've had here has been freshly cooked, and each and every one has been flavourful and sublime. Of note, the dahl makhani and aloo bindi also have my heart. Soul food of the highest degree. Cannot wait to go back. Street parking is tricky, but there is car parking available next door for (currently) 30 baht.

Was close by so we decided to stop in to try the Indian food here. The restaurant has two sections, one is visible from the street, and one is a very cozy area in the back. That is a very nice space! Ordered garlic naan, chicken Tikka Masala , chicken curry and rice. The food was hot and delicious. Spice levels were just right. I would eat here again when I am on this side of town

Excellent food on a budget.... Compared to so-called fak rated Indian restaurants in Chiang mai. The taste is awesome. Must try paneer roti and chicken handi. Sweet and salt lassi is also very nice. Try if you stay near.

An Indian restaurant on a quiet Soi in old town with indoor and outdoor seating. Tables are placed well spaced apart, lots of fans to keep mosquitoes away, and a/c inside. Service was friendly and attentive, servings are generous so you’ll likely have leftovers if you order one dish per person. You will be asked to do specify the spice level you want (mild/medium/spicy). Prices are on the higher side, plan to spend about THB 300 pP but the quality and quantity make it well worth it! Our starter, chicken Samosas, were probably the best ever: a thin layer of crispy dough around well flavored chicken filling with a spicy and a sweet sauce. Spicy mutton vindaloo, mild palak paneer dishes, and chicken biriyani each flavored to perfection rounded out our main course. And somehow the garlic naan was gone too quickly to really appreciate LOL Definitely a great option for Indian food in Old Town and we’ll be back!

Kæ̂m is an awesome, helpful, cheerful waitress! She ensured that everything I ordered was vegan and even brought out a butter alternative to check with me to see if it was ok. The food was delicious. I had the papadam, potatoes and eggplant, spinach and potatoes and whole wheat roti. They even had a vegan powerball dessert!!! I will definitely be back!

This was my first stop in Chiang Mai and it’s some of the best Indian food I’ve had! The food was fresh and had a home-style feel. The staff and owners are lovely!

Home style Indian food, served in a lovely courtyard by a welcoming family. We've enjoyed almost everything that we've tried here. Prices are acceptable, and they don't gouge you for the naan and roti like others.
