Having a reservation I had to wait 20 minutes for my table was unacceptable, having arrived ahead of time. After I approached them again was rudely replied: "we don't have a table for you because you didn't order the Christmas Package and pay ahead!" To which I was surprised since we had a reservation at the restaurant and didn't want/like the items on the Christmas Menu so we opted to go a la carte. Once I insisted the french supervisor/manager came and apologized and said our table was being setup and would be seated momentarily. The service was lacking as we had to remind them we wanted more wine 3 times and 3 times to get our check. I'm surprised at the lack of service which St. Regis prides itself with. The only thing that saved the day was the food, which was great, they accommodated the small changes we requested. Again had to ask them multiple times for water. There was live music but something was wrong with the sound system and it was on and off, so unless you were right in front of the stage, you wouldn't have known there was live music. All in all a disappointing Christmas Eve dinner, not sure I'd like to come back or recommend anyone to dine here on Christmas Eve. The menu was 3200 pesos per person (almost 189USD!!), we ended up paying 1500 pesos per person and ate what we wanted. So beware when booking your dinners here, you might be disappointed. And as mentioned by others the decor is dated and needs better upkeep.

Had dinner here one night and mostly enjoyed it. The appetizers were very good, fresh, nicely presented and delicious. The steak was very good and the sides were good, too. But the lamb (or goat) was sooooo bad, only fast and sinew, bad taste....I hardly ate a third of it. Drinks were great and service was outstanding.

An extraordinary experience dinning there with the new normal situation, specially from Arturo he made our evening delightful. The plates are amazing, for shure a great place if you want to have a nice piece of steak or if you just want to hang for a while

Excellent restaurant with great ambience and food. Some interesting things observed were that it’s a Mexican restaurant and instead chips we were served with bread, butter like Italian restaurant. Also we ordered soup which was totally dry and made of noodles very tasty though

Sunday lunch hour was very hectic, about an hour wait to get seated. There were many servers but didn't seem like it was enough. Servers were running around and forget to check up on you. I had the mole negro with chicken breast and it was good. I like the sauce, lots of spices, a lil spicy, but not sweet. Chicken on the other hand was slightly overcooked and bland w/o the sauce. Hot chocolate was good but I didn't think it was worth the price. I would not wait next time if there's a line.

Ate here for breakfast. Arrived early, had choice to sit outside or inside. Service was on point. Concha and hot chocolate were awesome. Cafe kept me going all day. Opted to try ant eggs. Also ordered lamb flautas. Everything was delicious and well prepared.

My Mexican friend took me there (it means it’s very popular from Mexican people too!) We waited for 10-15 minutes to get inside. They have great traditional foods, and I think they have the best coffee ever!!!! My friend explained me that we should choose how much we want to coffee because their coffee is very very strong. After we chose, they put milk:) I really enjoyed! Fantastic!!

Incredible food, friendly and efficient service, cozy atmosphere with live music in the evening, and an English menu explaining the dishes! Only thing is they only accept cash so bring some with you if you go, although there’s an ATM across the street.

Amazing venue, amazing staff, and amazing menu! The clam soup is surprisingly good, same as the chapulines. The chile en nogada is good but not great, as the pepper and its filling are served cold.

It's a very big venue in a beautiful old house. Food is OK, but it was too expensive for the quality / flavor received. Margaritas were good, guacamole was fresh and nice. Service was very good. So taking all into consideration, it was OK, but I am not sure it was worth the money. There are many other places in Mexico that have better quality for less. Although they won't have a beautiful location like this.

This is a nice stylish place with decent ambience in polanco area , After reading the reviews I had high expectations I ordered the pink mole being vegetarian it was slightly sweet, tried the coconut lemonade it was decent . Starters was good. Can be tried once.

It was our first time here. We were a party of two and we got seated right away since we had a reservation. This is not just “another “ fancy restaurant; it’s a place that has passion for food and it’s reflected on every detail, from the decor, service, and ambiance everything is made to perfection. We ordered the beet salad, which was very tasty with a zesty flavor. We continued with the octopus tostadas and ended with the filet mignon served with the Aztec pie. Service is impecable and you can tell that you have at least 3 or 4 servers per table taking care of all your needs. The only corrective point would be the restroom; too small and unkept. It needs to be upgraded to match the restaurant elegant standards. Overall, great experience from beginning to end. Well done!

I had my expectation high as one of the top 50 restaurants. But all the dishes just missed a bit final touch… same as the service.

My favourite breakfast restaurant in the world. Refined service, incredible food, fresh and hot concha buns, hot chocolate frothed table side. I love everything about El Cardenal and it is a must-visit every time I come to CDMX.

Outstanding Mexican food and cocktails in a beautiful setting with fantastic service. While you will find here many of the most classic Mexican dishes, much attention is paid to quality and freshness. The freshly baked bread buns, dipped in Salsa Verde are to die for! The fantastic range of Tequila and Mezcal based cocktails shouldn’t be missed! Try the cactus fruit (Tuna) sorbet with Mezcal! In September this is a great place to enjoy the Chiles en Nogada, which are in season.

High-end service in El Cardenal. Make sure to leave your name at the entrance to have your seats booked. Expect to wait a bit to get a spot. Known for Chiles en nogada, the signature dish of this clean and nicely set restaurant. High-priced point totally worth for big occassion.

A wonderful restaurant with an excellent selection of Mexican dishes, with an exceptional service and vibrant atmosphere. San Angel Inn was a real treat when visiting Mexico City! The place is elegant and beautifully decorated, and the staff attentive and service oriented. We enjoyed excellent meal accompanied by tasty drinks, from a classic Margarita to a very interesting wine selection. We felt especially warm vibes and a true attention to detail!

Absolutely beautiful restaurant in a charming neighborhood. Service is impeccable. Stunning courtyard seating area. Very good Traditional Mexican specialties. There is a wonderful mariachi band, not intrusive. Wonderful memory for time in Mexico City. It.

Great restaurant to try Mexican and international food. It is on a higher level and service is great. The place is located in the heart of San Angel. There are beautiful gardens, and salons. You can also contemplate a mix of upper class people.

Had a lot of high expectations for this place before going and it did not disappoint. This was an unforgettable experience- 3 hours of food, drinks, plus the passion and education about the ingredients, process, art, and more. It was delicious. Transcendent. The service was top notch and the mixed pairing was divine (cocktails, sake, wine, and beer with each course). And the nearly 9 year old mole was incredible. The depth of flavors was unlike I have ever had. This place deserves its place among the best in the world.

We were really excited to check out this restaurant and it was due to be a highlight on our trip. The service here is excellent the restaurant is set in a beautiful location and has a very relaxing atmosphere. We started our dinner with some cocktails which were well prepared and nice. The menu looked interesting we were told that we would also have a pork dish that evening which in fact we never received. The food in my personal opinion was highly overrated. Yes it was unique but nothing that really stands out the mole main course was delicious but a main course that is literally a sauce and tortilla are you kidding me no chicken or rice or anything else???? A couple of the courses you had were literally sauce and tortillas over all very underwhelming to be completely honest the highlight of the dinner was the dessert. It was uniquely different and had different elements of texture. All in all I don't know how this place is #13 in the world. I have eaten at Michelin star and at world ranked restaurants all over the world this was highly hyped. This definitely does not live up to the hype. It was quite a disappointment which is too bad beautiful space excellent service I just need some re-tooling of the food. I also found the menu courses to not match or pair up well there was no cohesion.

Pujol lived up to the hype! From the moment you walked in the door, the staff made sure your experience was unforgettable. Victor did an amazing job explaining each dish, how to eat it, as well as staying on top of drinks. Generally it is hard to have every dish hit the mark when you have 8 courses, but I have to say each one was able to stand on its own as an interesting, tasty exploration. The combination of visual and taste was well-planned and executed. If you appreciate the culinary experience, definitely put Pujol on your must-visit list.

Azul Histórico was a great selection to dine in on our recent visit to CDMX. It is located in the historic center, which gives it a very unique vibe. To see the tortillas freshly handmade was very interesting! The service was great, from the host, who accommodated an extra person at a last minute request, to our waiter. The food was delicious! The tortilla soup is a must! Make sure to include this restaurant in your next visit!

What a gastronomic experience. The atmosphere is taken out of a movie. Patio full of mature trees surrounding the tables. Service was 15/10, Carlos greeted me at my table after I got sat down. Once he started helping me I thought that it was going to be the highlight of the night. Boyy I was wrong. Carlos recommended the best Mezcal I’ve ever had, and taught me how to properly enjoy it. When it came down to the food, all the stops were pulled. They made sure I knew exactly how the food was going to taste, what I didn’t anticipate was it being MUCH better than described. The CALDO was EXPECTACULAR! How do you make a caldo taste that GOOD?! Dad joke incoming…. The MOLE, HOLLY MOLE!

Fantastic location in the courtyard of a historic building. Unbelievable food. Outstanding service. A must stop if visiting.

A fantastic food chain here. The Pozole is a must-try. Plenty of spices and options to add to your Pozole. We enjoyed the flautas and enchiladas in addition as well as the flan for desert. Would love to come back again!!
Federico Espriu
Local favorite. Go for the pozole but also look for their variety of sopes, quesadillas, flautas, etc. Gets very crowded so be sure to get there early to avoid waiting times. There are several locations across the city.

Visiting once again after the reopening of malls. It's looks quite different a lot of space between tables. All personnel wear masks. The food is as good and service are good as ever.
