Probably this place has the best al pastor out of all the places we visited. Very well marinated meat with chopped pineapple. The costilla and chamorro are quite dry. Bistec is a little better. Campechano is okay. The soup is pretty good, lighter than the other Mexican food we had. It has cubed cheese, mushroom, some other veggie, and shredded chicken. I didn't really like the flan because it has an alcohol taste from the eggnog and because the texture is quite hard for a flan, almost similar to jelly. Very spacious place, fast service.

Great mexican tacos with a variety of meats and natural juices. Meat was 340 pesos for a kilo with fixings. There is a line but it is a big seating area, and they serve the food right away. Great service.

Good spot for late night quick tacos. CASH only - super hot salsas so ask for it on the side to put your own amount. Tacos were served super fast and inexpensive. Good if your In the area, I wouldn’t make my way to get here. I was 3 blocks from walking from my hotel.

Awesome place that open 24/7. Plus if you have American Dollars $, they can change it for you to Mexican peso too for a fair rate.

The restaurants dine in with exceptionally high then around. We ordered two ponzoles -chicken and vegetarian which I recommend. Also had the pulled pork Soupe - it was just okay. The service is exceptional, waiting staff literally run around.

Inexplicably popular place with a large crowd out front and a rapid-fire, next-serving number system for getting people into chairs. I waited about ten minutes for a seat, and was expected to order immediately upon sitting. There's a rushed atmosphere that detracts from the meal. Staff people are hurrying around with plates of food. There are staff with headsets gazing intently at each table to communicate who is leaving. My food was served about five minutes after ordering. I was asked twice if I was done before I finished. Very inexpensive. The food itself is just ok. Not memorable. Not bad but the flavors were muted. The potato filling of my flauta had almost no taste. Maybe I misordered. But I probably wouldn't go back to try something else, given how much good Mexican food is in cdmx.

Having a reservation I had to wait 20 minutes for my table was unacceptable, having arrived ahead of time. After I approached them again was rudely replied: "we don't have a table for you because you didn't order the Christmas Package and pay ahead!" To which I was surprised since we had a reservation at the restaurant and didn't want/like the items on the Christmas Menu so we opted to go a la carte. Once I insisted the french supervisor/manager came and apologized and said our table was being setup and would be seated momentarily. The service was lacking as we had to remind them we wanted more wine 3 times and 3 times to get our check. I'm surprised at the lack of service which St. Regis prides itself with. The only thing that saved the day was the food, which was great, they accommodated the small changes we requested. Again had to ask them multiple times for water. There was live music but something was wrong with the sound system and it was on and off, so unless you were right in front of the stage, you wouldn't have known there was live music. All in all a disappointing Christmas Eve dinner, not sure I'd like to come back or recommend anyone to dine here on Christmas Eve. The menu was 3200 pesos per person (almost 189USD!!), we ended up paying 1500 pesos per person and ate what we wanted. So beware when booking your dinners here, you might be disappointed. And as mentioned by others the decor is dated and needs better upkeep.

Had dinner here one night and mostly enjoyed it. The appetizers were very good, fresh, nicely presented and delicious. The steak was very good and the sides were good, too. But the lamb (or goat) was sooooo bad, only fast and sinew, bad taste....I hardly ate a third of it. Drinks were great and service was outstanding.

This place had a long line; so out of curiosity we decided to get tacos. Guess it’s a very popular place but the tacos were not so great, they had a different smell/oil that it’s made out of. I probably got an upset stomach because of this. They only have 5 items on the menu, 2 of which are vegetarian - Beans and potato tacos.

Great place to try out tacos de canasta. Was recommended by a friend I made at the airport… Thanks Fernanda! My family and I bang out their special 5 tacos & a drink. My brother & I got de chicharron y de frijol. The best part ? Unlimited delicious salsa ! Todo muy sabroso!!

Absolutely good canasta tacos. The line was long but it goes fast. We did eat there. Spacious room to eat standing. Like a true taco eater. The garnishing are plenty. We took an assortment of the canasta tacos and all great. Well one wasn’t my favorite. But that is just my taste. First timers hint: one line for take out. And one line for eat in.

Loved these tacos, they are a must try when in CDMX. Popular with both locals and tourists, this place is highly praised and for a good reason.

This place came recommended through videos on YouTube for Al Pastor. They're 18 pesos which is amazing. The Al pastor pork was too salty. Also tried the bistec which was a bit dry unfortunately. Jamaica drink was yum.

Pretty good pastor tacos. I had the classic pastor taco a "Gringa" flour tortilla with cheese and meat and a volcan. The pastor was the best juicy and full of flavor.

Best afterhours tacos! FOOD: This was one of my favourite al pastor tacos, balanced, juicy, and delicious! I definitely recommend. What is also nice is seeing the preparation outside. They also have more adventurous tacos here like gizzard and ojo! ATMO: This place is open and is set up as a taco diner. It reminded me of the days when we used to go out and party late and go to a taco place afterwards to enjoy some food. SERVICE: The service was good. Very quick and quite attentive. Recommend 100%

We came here after a long day exploring Mexico City. Almost all the restaurants were closed except a few. The food was delicious and the salsa was super spicy. This place was really good.

Upon arriving, the sight of a lengthy queue hinted at this place being a crowd-pleaser. With diverse opinions circulating in reviews, it's evident that food preferences vary widely, making it challenging to satisfy everyone's tastes. Opting for the Pastor and the Res, I found them to be quite satisfying, delivering flavors that met my expectations. However, the salsas were rather mild, lacking distinct accents. To complement the meal, I also ordered some potatoes, which were decent. Overall, I'd commend this place for its speedy service and the high-quality meat they offer.

The quality price ratio is great here. Since it's always busy you can be sure the ingredients are fresh. The service is not the best but you can enjoy authentic mexican food.

We took out three tacos- two Al pastor and one carnitas for each of us. It’s another street side taqueria. It was Monday evening and the place was fully packed. We waited on the street and got our tacos packed. The server guy was very attentive and talked to us regarding what we want on top, etc. overall the tacos were decent- we loved the Al pastor. The salsas were decent too.

Have Returned. Must Try. A local and tourist attraction, very busy with lines. Don't arrive too early - they won't have 8/10 items on the menu. Their Al Pastor taco is pretty decent. Lots of fresh lime, good sides and sauces. They also have dine in with 2 upper levels and a handwashing station. One of the best value Tacos in CDMX. Cash. $3-$6pp.

I recently dined at El Califa in Mexico City, and I must say, the food is excellent. What sets this place apart is that they're accommodating even for those who, like me, avoid taco shells and corn-related items. I savored the delicious meats and a side of guacamole, which was more than satisfying. The ambiance of the restaurant is pleasant, creating a nice atmosphere. However, it's important to note that the service can be a bit slow. This isn't the spot to visit if you're in a hurry, but for me, it was perfect as I enjoyed a leisurely lunch break between attractions. While the service might not match the outstanding level you typically find in Mexico, the staff is friendly. It's a great place for a relaxed meal, so keep that in mind when planning your visit, especially if you have friends in a rush.

The tacos de costilla, bistec, and pastor were delicious! We also loved the michelada and agua de horchata. The restaurant is very near Bosque de Chapultepec and Angel de la Independencia. I totally recommend eating some tacos there!

This English friendly restaurant is a fantastic place to meet friends and family for great food and atmosphere. The servers are always on the move and bring out drinks and appetizers quickly and accurately. We had a large group which they were able to accommodate with reservations. I ordered a crust and other items. They were all served warm and were delicious! No silverware in this restaurant! Be prepared to eat with your hands, so bring hand sanitizer if you think you need it. I highly recommend this amazing restaurant if you're in the area.
